Older Versions of Word or PowerPoint

Often, the easiest way to make a PDF in older versions of Office is using Adobe Acrobat (not the Acrobat Reader). If you do not have the full version of Acrobat, it is available on computers in Love Library. If you are using a version of Office older than 2007, Acrobat is the only way to make a PDF from Word or Powerpoint. Making a PDF using Acrobat is quite self explanatory, but there is also assistance available to help you at the library.

Newer versions of Word and PowerPoint

The best place to find instructions on making a PDF from newer versions of Word or PowerPoint is on the Microsoft support web site: https://support.office.com/en-US/search/results.aspx?query=make%20a%20pdf&lcid=1033

Directions are also available through Word or PowerPoint using the Help feature. Click on the blue circle with the question mark in the upper right corner and search for “make a PDF.”

YouTube also has numerous videos about making PDFs from Word or Powerpoint. Got to www.youtube.com and search “make a PDF from Microsoft Office.”
